This position includes either opening or closing the center with three additional staff members, ensuring spaces and materials are cleaned by end of the day, oversee activities and daily routines. We are a Montessori and STEAM based preschool whose mission is to provide high-quality education and safe environment for the children. Some of the dutiesinclude but are not limited to the following: Work closely with teachers to ensure daily classroom routines and schedules flow smoothly Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lessons, activities, and classroom experiences Anticipate classroom needs and proactively assist teachers throughout the day Be flexible and willing to assist in different classrooms or areas of the center as needed Ensure all classrooms and the building are clean, organized, and fully prepared for the day by 7:30am If responsible for closing, ensure all classrooms and common areas are cleaned, organized, and properly closed and secured by 5:30pm Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, children and parents Follow proper hygiene, sanitation, and diapering procedures at all times Change diapers promptly and as needed throughout the day Assist children with toileting and handwashing while encouraging age-appropriate independence Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs General cleaning of the preschool facility Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements :

DCYF Merit Portable Background check TB test (proof of negative result) Food Handlers Permit First Aid and CPR (including infants) certification (in-person training)

Staff Qualifications :

One year of childcare experience Child Care Basics (30 Stars Hours Training) Passionate about working with children Positive and patient demeanor

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
