Come grow with us! At Planting Flowers Learning Center, we know the preschool years are when curiosity takes root. We're looking for a caring, creative Teachers to lead joyful learning in our ECEAP classrooms and partner with families as their child's first and most important teacher. In this role, you'll do more than teach. You'll build relationships that last, cheer on families as they set and reach goals, and help every child walk into kindergarten confident and ready. What your days will look like Planning playful, hands-on lessons in music, art, science, literacy, math, and language Leading a mix of indoor and outdoor, quiet and active activities, and getting right in there with the kids Using screenings and assessments to create individual learning plans that meet each child where they are Putting academic, behavior, health, and nutrition plans into action in line with program standards Modeling kindness, conversation, manners, listening, and cleanup in a culturally responsive way Keeping your classroom safe, clean, organized, and ready for discovery Visiting families at home and holding parent-teacher conferences to plan and set goals together Serving as a trusted resource for families, connecting them with support and advocating for their needs Mentoring and training Teacher Assistants and inviting them into planning and curriculum Keeping records and reports current so our program stays strong and compliant Responding calmly and quickly when safety concerns come up Growing your skills through workshops, trainings, and in-service days Education requirements

For ECEAP:

An associate degree or higher in any field plus 30 credits in Early Childhood Education, or a current Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education (PreK-3) or Early Childhood Special Education. You'll shine here if you have A solid understanding of child development and age-appropriate lesson planning Strong skills in classroom organization, scheduling, and record-keeping A true team-player spirit The ability to coach and support Teacher Assistants A heart for working with children, families, and coworkers from all backgrounds Before you start Health exam and/or TB screening as recommended by your provider Criminal background check First Aid and Infant/Child CPR card, kept current Food Handler's Permit, kept current Availability for center meetings and events, including some evenings Physical demands This is an active, on-the-floor job. You'll lift and hold children, move materials up to 40 pounds, and spend long stretches standing, kneeling, bending, and playing at kid level. Ready to plant some seeds?
