Job Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and caring Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to family partnership and creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment for young children. Our ideal candidate understands the delicate balance between nurturing young children and gently guiding them toward the independence, self-help skills, and routines they will need as they transition into our preschool classrooms.

Responsibilities:

• Implement Developmentally appropriate lesson plans in collaboration with the educational team
• Diaper changing and toilet training kids who need it
• Classroom management
• work with Co-teacher to determine what is expected during circle time, art projects, classroom transitions, bathroom breaks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy classroom
• Safety of the children in care and Provide one-on-one assistance to students as needed
• Provide individualized attention and support to toddlers in various educational activities
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under care
• Engage in family partnership and meaningful conversations.
• Support mealtime food distribution, monitoring, and clean-up
• Willingness to learn all the school Apps we use and update it as a team.

Requirements:

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 18 years old and have teaching experience with toddlers in early education setting. Maintain all dcyf standards 30 Hours Child Care Basics certificate (must be obtained within 30 days after being hired) Food handlers permit & First Aid & CPR and Blood Borne Pathogens TB test MMR (proof of immunity) First aid and CPR (current) Portable background check (through MERIT) Lift up to 40 pounds Be able to squat, kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children's health and safety Meet Discovery Village Academy's policies and requirements Please note that the pay scale is determined by qualifications and experience.
