Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, and social skills development. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and implementing behavior management strategies. Engage children in educational activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and social growth, including Montessori or other curriculum approaches. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and fostering inclusive participation. Help with daily routines such as snack time, naptime, diapering or potty training, and transitions between activities. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive learning environment. Support special education needs by working with children with disabilities or autism to facilitate inclusive participation. Requirements Prior experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, or early childhood setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies such as Montessori or toddler care. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored to diverse learning needs. Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is a plus. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
