Position Summary The Substitute Early Education Teacher (Multi-Site) provides temporary classroom coverage and support across multiple center locations as needed. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered learning environment while supporting the educational, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development of children. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and passionate about serving children and families while upholding Christian values and the mission of the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide classroom coverage for Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers at multiple center locations as assigned. Adapt quickly to different classrooms, age groups, schedules, and teaching teams. Supervise children and ensure their safety and well-being at all times. Implement lesson plans, daily routines, and activities as directed by the classroom teacher or administration. Foster a welcoming, Christ-centered environment where children feel safe, loved, and valued. Model Christian character traits including kindness, patience, integrity, compassion, humility, and respect. Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development through positive interactions and engaging learning experiences. Maintain positive classroom management techniques that encourage appropriate behavior and respectful relationships. Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, rest periods, outdoor play, transitions, and other daily classroom functions as needed. Ensure classrooms remain clean, organized, and compliant with licensing regulations and center policies. Communicate professionally and respectfully with families, staff, and administrators across all locations. Follow all health, safety, confidentiality, and child protection procedures. Report any concerns regarding child safety, health, behavior, or classroom operations to administration promptly. Participate in staff meetings, training opportunities, and faith-based activities as requested. Travel between center locations as needed to provide staffing support. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Early Childhood Education coursework or credentials preferred. Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early learning environment preferred. Ability to work with children of various ages and developmental levels. Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and classroom expectations. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between assigned locations. Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification. Must meet all state licensing, training, and background check requirements. Faith-Based Expectations Demonstrate a personal commitment to Christian values and principles. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 pounds. Ability to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, stoop, and actively engage with children throughout the day. Ability to supervise and interact with children both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to travel between multiple sites during scheduled work hours as needed.
