Sequim's Little Explorers Early Learning Center is hiring for a Full-time Lead Teacher willing to work with all ages 1 month-5 years. On the job training! We are looking for teachers to create a nurturing and comforting environment where children develop lifelong confidence and desire to explore their world while creating a partnership with parents for supporting the child from infancy through their preschool years. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30-5:30 In this role, you will be responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, and safe environment that encourages children to grow and explore. Key responsibilities include maintaining professional attitudes and loyalty to the school at all times, interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities, and planning and implementing the daily program based on an emergent curriculum outline. Additional responsibilities include Maintaining child-to-staff ratios and keeping children within visual and auditory range at all times. Establishing and maintaining good communication with parents on a daily basis and with monthly newsletters. Using positive discipline and treating all children with dignity and respect. Attending staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences. Assisting the director in explaining the program to visitors and in any other appropriate ways. Preparing a warm and safe environment that is orderly, clean, and appealing. Requirements Cleared Portable Background Check (PBC) before we can hire you.
