Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, hard working team player Preschool Teacher/Cook to join our early childhood education team. We are a mid-sized Preschool, with less than 40 children enrolled. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to foster young children's growth and development through engaging teaching practices while also preparing nutritious meals (Child Friendly!)The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for preschoolers. You will play a vital role in shaping early childhood experiences, promoting literacy, social skills, and physical activity, all while ensuring proper meal preparation and kitchen safety. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education principles. Manage classroom activities to promote positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies. Engage with children to support their social-emotional development, early intervention needs, and overall childhood development milestones. Prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals and snacks in accordance with nutritional guidelines and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment adhering to food safety regulations and childcare sanitation protocols. Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and meal routines. Support toddlers' care routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom experience preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education techniques including curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Experience in childcare settings such as private schools or daycare centers is highly desirable. Ability to prepare nutritious meals while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with families. Certification or training in early childhood education or Montessori methods is a plus. Physical ability to perform toddler care routines including lifting children, standing for extended periods, and kitchen tasks.
