In this dynamic role, you will be the versatile support that keeps our preschool classrooms energized, organized, and nurturing. As a Preschool Floater, you will have the exciting opportunity to work across multiple classrooms, assisting teachers and engaging with children to foster a safe, stimulating, and loving environment. Your flexibility and enthusiasm will be essential in ensuring every child receives attentive care and developmentally appropriate instruction. Duties Provide consistent supervision and care for children across various preschool classrooms, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist lead teachers with daily activities, including child development instruction, classroom management, and behavior guidance Support children's social-emotional growth through positive interactions and age-appropriate behavior management techniques Help facilitate engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development, including play-based learning and developmental assessments Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and classroom updates Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols such as first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, mandated reporting laws, and sanitation procedures Assist with classroom setup, cleaning, organizing supplies, and preparing materials for daily activities Qualifications Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certifications in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), pediatric first aid are required or obtainable upon hire Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus Strong classroom management skills and ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the staff team Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and support multiple age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Passion for caregiving, teaching young children, and fostering a nurturing learning environment This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals dedicated to early childhood education who thrive in lively environments and enjoy working collaboratively.
