Job Description

Company Overview Noah's Ark Christian Day Care Center provides care for children from 4 weeks to 12 years old. Our mission is to create a safe, fun, and spiritual environment where every child can thrive and grow. Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Teacher for our Group Childcare program. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a nurturing environment that supports each child's developmental journey. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners and collaborate closely with families to ensure a positive educational experience. Duties Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Lead daily classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and social skills among children. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships. Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid and CPR procedures, mandated reporting laws, and child welfare policies. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain a cohesive team environment. Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and classroom activities for compliance and reporting purposes. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings; classroom management skills are essential. Knowledge of curriculum development, childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education. Demonstrated ability to teach physical education and incorporate movement into daily routines. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is required. Experience with toddler care, preschool teaching, daycare environments, or private school settings is preferred. A background in math instruction or childhood development is advantageous. Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
