Job Description
KinderCare seeks a Senior Teacher for our Pleasant Prairie center to lead a preschool classroom and support high-quality early childhood education. In this role, you will design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for every child. You will mentor assistant teachers, partner closely with families, and track children's developmental progress. As part of KinderCare's collaborative culture, you'll engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to center-wide initiatives that enrich children's learning. Responsibilities Lead daily classroom instruction and supervision for preschool-aged children Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities Ensure a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment Assess and document children's developmental progress Communicate regularly with families about children's growth and needs Mentor and support assistant teachers and classroom staff Collaborate with center leadership on curriculum and classroom standards Maintain compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations Participate in professional development and training Support center events and family engagement activities Required Skills Classroom management Early childhood curriculum planning Child development knowledge Lesson planning Behavior management Parent communication Student assessment Record keeping and documentation Team leadership Health and safety compliance
