St. John the Baptist has excellent part-time opportunities for nurturing, caring, positive individuals who love working with infants and toddlers, as part of a positive and supportive team. The primary responsibility is to keep the children happy, busy, and safe in a nurturing, Christian environment.

Shift available:

18 to 24 hours per week, both morning and afternoon shifts.

Duties:

Assist in planning and supervising activities that promote the social, mental, physical, emotional and educational development. Maintain and monitor children to provide a safe and positive learning environment. Feeding and providing age-appropriate rest-times. Keeping records of each child's progress, interests, and development. Maintaining contact with the children's parents/guardians. Ensure the children maintain good hygiene and change diapers (infants & toddlers). Clean the childcare room to maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitary environment. Reports to the child care director.

Essential Skills:

Good oral and written communication. Problem-solving. Working with others. A caring and compassionate attitude is a must.

Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED required. Child care experience preferred. Must pass CPR and First Aid certification training, or hold current certifications. Ability to pass a background check.

ADA Physical Requirements:

The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; use hands; reach with hands and arms. Close vision is required for paperwork and computer. Able to utilize computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
