Job Description

At Child's Play, we're proud to serve families in Sheboygan and Kohler, Wisconsin with a safe, nurturing, and state-licensed learning environment where children can grow, explore, and thrive. We provide loving care and engaging educational experiences for children ranging from 6 weeks to 10 years of age — from infant care and preschool to junior kindergarten and dependable childcare programs. We partner with families every step of the way to support each child's early development, confidence, and curiosity. We are looking for a dedicated, full-time assistant teacher in the classroom. Previous childcare experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
Assist our Lead teachers to create a fun environment and incorporate educational programs that assist in our children's development. Assist with monitoring the children and maintaining classroom routines. Aid in the day-to-day recordkeeping and parent communication. Aid in fun activities throughout the day. Observe children's interactions and promote positive self-esteem. Adhere to teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the state guidelines.
Skills:
Basic knowledge of child development (willing to train if limited experience). 2 years of childcare experience preferred but not required. Creativity. Patience, flexibility and love for children. Strong communication and time management skills.
Pay:
$12.50 - $15.00 per hour
