Infant/Toddler Teacher We are looking for qualified Infant/Toddler Teachers to prepare children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education. You will teach them important elements that they will encounter soon after they enter school life. An early childhood teacher must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage with them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education.
Hiring Bonus:
$400 full-time/ $200 part-time!!•
Full-time:
$100 after 90 days, $100 after 6 month, $100 after 9 months, $100 after 1 year;
Part-time:
$50 after 90 days, $50 after 6 month, $50 after 9 months, $50 after 1 year Opportunities available:
- 2 part time: (1) 7am-1pm approx. M-F, (1) 1130am-5:30pm approx. M-F
- 1 fulltime: between the hours of 7am and 6pm, typically 4 days a week
Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child's individual needs
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and development
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the classroom and materials
Skills:
- Previous experience in childcare or teaching is preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and behavior management techniques for young children
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
Note:
A Registry level 7 or higher or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly desirable but not required. We are willing to train the right candidates.
