Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for part-time teacher assistants to join our early childhood education team, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture and support the development of young children. In this vital role, you will assist lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children from infancy through preschool age. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote developmental milestones in infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement Assist with classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning Help with diapering, feeding, and basic health checks while adhering to all health and safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures Participate in ongoing training on childhood development, behavior management, mandated reporting laws, and early childhood education best practices Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) including pediatric first aid training Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, and team members in a professional manner Demonstrated patience, compassion, energy, and enthusiasm for working with young children Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift light loads such as toys or supplies for extended periods This position is an excellent stepping stone for those passionate about early childhood education or pursuing careers in teaching or special education.
