Job Description
The mission of Glen Dale CDC is to foster the child's spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and social growth through a variety of learning experiences. We are looking to add a nurturing, energetic, and dedicated teacher to our team. This individual must be able to collaborate with our team members to create a safe and caring classroom environment. Must have flexible availability Monday through Friday between the hours of 6am and 6pm.
Teacher responsibilities:
- Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Develop positive relationships with parents by knowing their names and greeting upon arrival and departure.
- To create and follow age-appropriate weekly lesson plans that provide a balance of child initiated and teacher directed activities.
- Know the developmental skills, abilities, special needs, personality traits, moods, and interests of each child.
- To complete individual assessments and goals for each child and meet with parents to share their child's progress.
- Ensure that all diapering toileting, feeding and sleeping needs of each child are met.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a background check
- CDA and previous childcare experience preferred but not required
