Early Childhood Floating Teacher (Support staff)

Expectations and Responsibilities:

• Interact with and supervise young children in small and large group settings
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Meet the needs of each individual child
• Must participate in continuing education/professional development trainings
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to effectively manage a classroom
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each child
• Ability to participate in physical activity such as lifting, holding, sitting on the floor, and playing with children
