About us Kinder Haus Child Care Center is looking for a caring, dependable Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our team in Morgantown, WV. Working with infants and toddlers is much more than supervising a classroom. It's comforting a child who is having a hard morning, celebrating first steps and new words, getting down on the floor to play, and helping young children feel safe, loved, and confident as they explore their world. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and understands that the little things—patience, consistency, a warm smile, and a reassuring voice—make a big difference. What You'll Do Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants and toddlers throughout the day Create a safe, welcoming environment where children can play, explore, learn, and build independence Engage with children through play, conversation, books, music, sensory experiences, and age-appropriate activities Support children's social and emotional development through positive, responsive interactions Follow each child's individual schedule for feeding, sleeping, diapering, and other care routines Complete diaper changes and other personal care needs while following health and safety procedures Observe children's development and help document daily activities, milestones, and progress Communicate professionally and positively with families and coworkers Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom Work collaboratively with the classroom teaching team to provide consistent, high-quality care What We're Looking For Previous experience working with infants or toddlers is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person A genuine interest in early childhood education and working with young children Dependability and the ability to work as part of a team Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm when things get busy Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to meet the physical demands of caring for infants and toddlers, including getting up and down from the floor and lifting children as needed CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification Ability to successfully complete all required background checks and screenings What You Can Expect at Kinder Haus On-the-job training and support A casual, active work environment Opportunities to learn and grow in the early childhood field A team-oriented workplace Meaningful work where you can make a difference in a child's day—and development If you're looking for a job where you can build relationships, stay active, and spend your days helping little people learn some very big things, we'd love to hear from you.
