Job Description

Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education - Associate Degree minimum or closely related field that meets both federal Office of Head Start and WV Board of Education requirements. The Teacher is responsible for implementing a successful education program that results in school-readiness for Pre-K children and a desire for lifelong learning. Lead all activities of preschool classroom Participate in behavioral health education and special education plan development and implementation Lead and fully participate in gross motor activities to increase physical health Lead and fully participate in general health activities, including family meal participation and nutrition Promote positive parent involvement through activities such as home visits, volunteer engagement, parent-teacher conferences and leadership opportunities Maintain tracking systems such as child files, child attendance, parent interaction, etc. Perform housekeeping duties to achieve highest standards of classroom and facility cleanliness; maintain general grounds Follow and implement the program guidelines as prescribed by Head Start, Day Care Licensing, WV Board of Education, the Agency and other regulating agencies
