The ideal candidate will create an engaging and rigorous learning environment that encourages students to explore human behavior, develop critical-thinking skills, and apply psychological concepts to real-life situations. The teacher will be responsible for teaching traditional high school Psychology courses as well as Cambridge AICE Psychology, preparing students for success on the AICE examination. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned Psychology and AICE Psychology lessons. Follow the Cambridge International AICE Psychology syllabus and assessment requirements. Prepare students for the AICE Psychology examination. Develop rigorous assignments, projects, assessments, and research-based learning activities. Use student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction. Provide support and differentiated instruction to meet students' individual needs. Maintain accurate attendance, grades, lesson plans, and student records. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administration. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities. Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Science, or a related field. Valid Florida teaching certificate or eligibility for Florida certification. Certification in Social Science, Psychology, or a related subject area preferred. Experience teaching high school students preferred. Previous Cambridge AICE teaching experience is highly preferred. Strong classroom-management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to provide rigorous instruction while supporting students at different learning levels. Willingness to complete Cambridge training, if not already trained. Preferred Skills Knowledge of Cambridge International curriculum and examination expectations. Experience teaching advanced, honors, AP, or AICE courses. Ability to analyze assessment data and use it to guide instruction. Strong understanding of psychological theories, research methods, and ethical considerations. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
