MAJOR PURPOSE
This is a full-time clinical faculty position (non-tenure track) in the School of Psychology. The Practicum Coordinator (PC) of the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (MACP) program provides leadership and oversight of all clinical training components for the Synchronous (SYNC) modality. The PC ensures compliance with all California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) regulations for LMFT and LPCC practicum training, supports student clinical readiness, and maintains high standards of professional and ethical practice consistent with the mission of Jessup University. The Practicum Coordinator oversees practicum placement, site development, student readiness, supervision compliance, and required documentation, working collaboratively with program leadership, faculty, and community partners to support student clinical formation. The pay range for this position is generally: $65,000-$75,000 annually. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant education and training, experience, and job-related skills. This position is primarily remote within the Rocklin/Roseville area, with required in-person availability for meetings, collaboration, and student support as needed. Local travel may be required for practicum site engagement.
PENDING AVAILABLE FUNDING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensures all practicum experiences comply with California BBS regulations for LMFT and LPCC licensure Oversees student practicum readiness, placement, and evaluation processes Recruits, evaluates, and maintains practicum sites and community partnerships Monitors clinical hours, supervision requirements, and required documentation Facilitates practicum information sessions and provide student coaching and support Addresses student and site-related concerns, including coordination with supervisors Maintains practicum policies, procedures, and quality assurance processes Works closely with MACP Program Director and faculty to ensure integration of coursework and clinical training Teaches practicum and related courses as assigned Participates in program, department, and university meetings and events Represents the MACP program in professional and community settings Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION / LICENSURE
Ph.D., Psy.

D., or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related field Active California licensure as LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist Licensed a minimum of 2 years and able to provide clinical supervision in CA per BBS regulations
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
Experience supervising trainees in accordance with California licensure regulations Knowledge of California BBS requirements for LMFT and LPCC practicum training Experience in clinical training, practicum coordination, or student supervision Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
SKILLS / ABILITIES
Ability to manage multiple processes and compliance requirements Ability to assess student readiness and clinical competency Strong relational skills for partnership development Sound judgment in ethically sensitive situations Commitment to Christian higher education and integration of faith and practice
WORKING ENVIRONMENT

WORKING CONDITIONS
The employee is regularly in a typical office environment with adequate light and moderate noise levels. No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. Air-conditioned buildings; tile, concrete, and carpeted floors; adjustable workstation with ergonomic keyboard is provided.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle files, computers, and phones; reach with hands and arms; stoop, and kneel. Frequent and regular repetitive movements required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
