The population of Adair County is just over 18,000 and the county seat is Columbia, KY. The district is comprised of four schools on one campus-Adair County High School (9-12), Adair County Middle School (6-8) , Adair County Elementary School (3-5), and Adair County Primary Center (K-2). Preschool students attend a separate preschool center housed inside Adair County Primary School. There is a state funded juvenile detention center, Adair Youth Development Center, along with some residential, therapeutic facilities in the district. This grant-funded position supports the school's commitment to improving literacy outcomes by delivering small-group, individualized instruction aligned to Kentucky Academic Standards. The interventionist will monitor and analyze student data and collaborate with classroom teachers to close achievement gaps in reading. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 literacy interventions.
• Deliver explicit, systematic instruction in phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
• Use assessment data to identify student needs and adjust instruction accordingly.
