9668058-01852 Job Description Step into a valuable role supporting students literacy skills as a reading specialist in a school setting, working with a K8 caseload. This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through June 24, offering part-time hours across three days per week (9AM3PM). Youll help up to 10 students with diverse reading needs in a 1:1 setting, making a significant difference in their academic journey.

Qualifications & Certifications:

Valid Massachusetts Reading Specialist Certification required Moderate Disabilities K-8, or Elementary Licensure Grades 1-6 Prior experience as a reading specialist or similar role in educational environments Ability to engage and motivate students with moderate disabilities Skills in developing individualized reading strategies and interventions

Key Responsibilities:

Work 1:1 with K8 students, focusing on personalized literacy instruction Assess each students reading strengths and challenges to develop tailored teaching plans Implement evidence-based reading interventions and track student progress Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to align learning goals Foster a supportive, encouraging environment where students gain confidence and skills Maintain accurate records on student achievement and communicate updates as necessary
