A two day New Teacher Orientation will take place on August 24th and 25th. The first day of school for teachers will be August 28th. Position Overview The Green Meadow School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Early Elementary Literacy Interventionist to support students in grades K-3 through targeted literacy instruction. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Science of Reading and a passion for helping young learners develop as engaged readers. Key Responsibilities Provide small group literacy instruction to students in grades K-3 in both classroom (push-in) and intervention (pull-out) settings Implement evidence-based instructional practices aligned with the Science of Reading Support the development of phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension Collaborate with classroom teachers to support in-class interventions and differentiated instruction Assist in the administration of universal screeners, diagnostic assessments, and progress monitoring tools Support the assessment process, including data collection, organization, and interpretation Analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly Maintain accurate records of student performance, interventions, and outcomes Participate in MTSS meetings and collaborate with educators and service providers Support a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Literacy, or a related field (Master's preferred) Reading Specialist certification required Experience working with elementary students, preferably in grades K-3 Strong knowledge of the Science of Reading and structured literacy practices Experience with literacy assessments and data tracking Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs Strong collaboration and communication skills Experience with intervention programs and progress monitoring tools Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) The Teachers Union contract can be found at the below link.
