Reading, All LevelsSheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement required

Bilingual PreferredResponsibilities:

Provide targeted reading instruction to students performing significantly below grade levelAssess student strengths, challenges, and interests to inform instruction and increase engagementUtilize a range of assessment tools; analyze results to guide daily instructionInstruct small group intervention classesCollaborate with staff to develop and implement focused interventionsRegularly monitor student progress to promote academic growthDesign responsive instruction in collaboration with Special Education and EL staffImplement evidence-based lessons to improve student outcomes in readingSupport content area teachers in selecting appropriate reading materialsWork closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student successAlign instruction with Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and WIDA standardsMaintain communication with families regarding student progress and resourcesActively contribute to a positive school culture and climateDemonstrate respect for and commitment to diversityPerform additional duties as assigned by administration
