9668058-02169 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-8 students as a Reading Specialist in a vibrant educational setting near Quincy, MA. This part-time position offers you the chance to make a significant impact by working three days a week from 9AM to 3PM, providing targeted, individualized instruction for students who need it most. Youll work closely with a small, manageable caseload of up to 10 students, concentrating on 1:1 reading interventions to help learners increase confidence and literacy skills.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Massachusetts Reading Specialist Certification Either Moderate Disabilities K-8 license or Elementary Licensure Grades 1-6 Demonstrated experience supporting K-8 students with diverse learning needs Strong background in implementing individualized literacy interventions Ability to motivate and connect with students to foster reading growth

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 reading instruction tailored to individual student needs Develop and implement effective literacy strategies and progress monitoring Collaborate with K-8 faculty and families to create supportive learning environments Maintain and document student progress throughout the assignment Adjust instruction and intervention methods based on student response and data This contract position is available for an immediate start through June 24, offering thoughtfully designed hours that support work-life balance.
