Boston Speech Therapy is looking for a reading specialist to join our team for a part-time in-person position. In this role, you will provide individualized support to students facing challenges with reading and literacy. Your expertise will help foster strong reading skills and promote a love for learning. only! This part-time position pays $80 to 85 per hour.
Responsibilities:
Administer assessments to evaluate students' reading levels and identify specific needs Develop and implement tailored instructional plans that address individual student challenges Provide one-on-one or small group reading instruction focusing on fluency, comprehension, and phonics Employ a range of evidence-based teaching strategies and materials to enhance learning Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to monitor progress and modify instruction as necessary Keep detailed records of student progress and assessment results Requirements Must have an MA Reading Teacher Licence Previous experience as a Reading Specialist or in a related educational role Strong grasp of evidence-based reading instruction methods Familiarity with specialized reading programs such as OG or Wilson is a plus Ability to assess individual student needs and develop effective intervention strategies Excellent communication and teamwork skills Flexibility in adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Benefits 1099 contract position Part-time $80-85 per hour
