Aug 25, 2026 Job Description Ed Tech Language for posting: Mountain Valley Community School is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Educational Technician III to join our Title I team. This position provides targeted reading intervention and instructional support to elementary students in grades K-5 who require additional assistance in developing foundational literacy skills. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with classroom teachers, interventionists, and administrators to deliver evidence-based reading instruction, monitor student progress, and foster a positive learning environment that promotes academic growth and confidence. Qualifications ? Valid Maine Educational Technician III Authorization (or eligibility for certification). ? Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred. ? Strong knowledge of early literacy development and evidence-based reading practices. ? Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. ? Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. ? Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) authorization. Responsibilities ? Provide small-group and individual reading intervention under the direction of certified instructional staff. ? Implement evidence-based literacy interventions designed to improve phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. ? Support classroom instruction through pre-planned lessons and instructional activities consistent with the responsibilities of an Educational Technician III. ? Monitor and document student progress and communicate results with teachers and intervention staff. ? Assist with student assessments and data collection. ? Prepare instructional materials and maintain accurate records. ? Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. ? Participate in professional learning and collaborative planning meetings. ? Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee. Application Procedure Interested candidates should submit: ?
