Job Description

POSITION OPENING MTSS
Interventionist and other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Valid Michigan teaching certificate. Experience with MTSS frameworks, interventions, and data-driven instruction. Knowledge of reading science and evidence-based reading and math interventions within an MTSS framework. Experience coaching teachers, leading teams, and supporting paraprofessionals. Successful experience working with students with disabilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
Deliver targeted interventions in reading and math for students in both Tier 2 and Tier 3 settings. Collaborate with paraprofessionals to implement lesson plans, provide coaching, and support data collection. Participate in building MTSS teams to guide intervention delivery and instructional support. Use assessment data to adjust instruction and interventions to meet student needs. Support positive classroom environments using proactive behavior management and restorative practices. Support implementation of MTSS frameworks in classrooms by delivering interventions aligned to district protocols. Engage in professional learning communities (PLCs) to reflect on practice and improve instruction. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to foster academic excellence and a positive school climate. This position may require coordination of services.
A successful candidate will:
Contribute to consistent, high-fidelity MTSS implementation across classrooms by working closely with students, teachers, and paraprofessionals. Plan and implement high-quality lessons aligned to state standards, incorporating explicit instruction, checks for understanding, and differentiated supports. Work as a part of building MTSS teams to provide intervention and progress monitoring for students. Monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments and adjust interventions accordingly. Complete required documentation accurately and timely, including lesson plans, progress reports, and behavioral support plans. Build strong relationships with students and deliver instruction using research-based strategies across whole-group, small-group, and individualized settings.
Salary:
