Model United Nations InstructorJob Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Model United Nations Instructor to inspire students through engaging discussions, global issues, diplomacy, research, and simulated United Nations experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop students' public speaking, critical thinking, collaboration, negotiation, and leadership skills while helping them gain a deeper understanding of international affairs and different perspectives. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and an ability to create an engaging learning environment where students feel confident researching issues, representing assigned countries, developing solutions, and presenting their ideas. Responsibilities Deliver engaging Model United Nations lessons and activities appropriate for middle and high school students. Introduce students to international issues, diplomacy, global affairs, and the role of the United Nations. Guide students in researching countries, policies, and current global issues. Teach students how to prepare position statements, speeches, and policy proposals. Develop students' public speaking, critical thinking, negotiation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Facilitate mock United Nations sessions, debates, negotiations, and resolutions. Encourage students to consider multiple perspectives and work collaboratively to develop solutions. Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment. Manage classroom activities effectively while keeping students engaged and motivated. Provide guidance and feedback to help students build confidence and strengthen their communication skills. Qualifications Experience with Model United Nations, debate, public speaking, international relations, political science, social studies, or a related field preferred. Experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, or working with middle or high school students. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to explain complex topics in an engaging and age-appropriate manner. Strong research, organization, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to facilitate respectful discussions involving different perspectives and opinions. Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills. Enthusiastic, reliable, and comfortable leading interactive group activities. Experience participating in or coaching Model United Nations is an advantage but not required.
