Teacher SALARY :
Bachelor $54,308.70 ; Master $59,847.63 PLUS
FULL BENEFITS REQUIREMENTS
NYS Certification:
Special Education, Childhood Education, Early Childhood Education, Reading/Literacy 5yrs Classroom Teaching Experience Bachelor Degree Master Degree preferred Great Classroom Management Skills Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess children throughout the school and identify children at risk.
  • Design and implement academic interventions using research-based methodology in Reading and Math
  • Communicate with school personnel and parents of children regarding reading and/or math level and rate of progress.
  • Differentiate instruction based on assessment data.
  • Document interventions and progress on each child.
  • Assist teachers by providing training in the area of early literacy as needed.
  • Work monthly with the school leadership team to guide and monitor the progress of each child
  • Participate in team review concerning academic progress for students who are struggling or are in need of service.
  • Conduct data-driven dialogue meetings
  • Engage school staff, parents and family
  • Systematically evaluate Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Curriculum and Instruction Data Reports
  • Develop goals, procedures, and implementation process
  • Organize and utilize tools and resources for effective implementation
  • Maintain daily schedule and session calendar
  • Analyze resources for individualized, differentiated and personalized instruction for small groups, one to-one sessions, and varied homogeneous groupings
  • Administer in-session and turn-key presentations
