Job Title:
Part-Time Targeted Assistance Teacher (Grades K-2)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time teacher to support our Targeted Assistance Program for students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 2. The teacher will work with small groups to build early foundational reading skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. This position is ideal for a candidate with a passion for early literacy development and a strong understanding of best practices in reading instruction.
Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted reading instruction to K-2 students based on assessment data and teacher recommendations. Implement evidence-based literacy strategies and interventions. Monitor and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly. Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure student growth and success. Create a supportive and engaging learning environment for young learners.
Qualifications:
Experience working in an elementary school setting, particularly with early readers, is preferred. Background in reading instruction, intervention programs, or literacy support preferred. Ability to work independently and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Teaching Certification required.
Schedule:
Part-time; hours during the school day.
