9649321-19063 Job Description Exciting opportunities are available for individuals with Reading Specialist expertise to support K-8 students in an elementary school setting. This full-time contract role begins as soon as possible and runs through June 10, 2027, offering 35 hours per week onsite. With two positions open, you'll make a direct impact on students literacy development while collaborating with other dedicated professionals.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Active PA reading specialist certification required Demonstrated mastery in reading instruction and resource materials Experience creating lesson plans aligned to state and district standards Familiarity with formative assessment and differentiated instruction Previous school-based experience preferred, especially in urban environments Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities Ability to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances Reliable transportation for consistent onsite attendance Comfortable working within the district and with the local community

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement dynamic, standards-driven lesson plans for elementary and K-8 students Provide targeted interventions and support for students identified with reading challenges Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and specialists to meet student needs Utilize data from assessments to adjust instruction and drive student achievement Maintain records and documentation as required by the district Contribute to a positive school culture focused on student growth and achievement As part of this role, you will participate in a Zoom interview during the hiring process.
