We are looking for a passionate, reliable, and visionary educator to join our team as an Academic Specialist and help lead this work. Position Overview The Academic Specialist will play a critical role in supporting our students' core academic growth in Reading and Math. This hybrid position involves direct, small-group instruction on-site, coupled with flexible, work-from-home planning hours. If you are a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, progressive learning environment and is dedicated to helping every student succeed on their own unique path, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities Direct Instruction:
Teach targeted small groups in Reading and Math on-site two days per week from 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM.
Curriculum & Lesson Planning:
Organize, plan, and adapt Reading and Math curriculum tailored to student needs (3-5 hours per week, work from home). Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs): Develop, maintain, and monitor personalized learning plans to meet each student's unique learning goals.
Assessment & Data Leadership:
Lead and oversee standardized testing, including NWEA MAP and M-STEP assessments.
Family Communication:
Maintain regular, clear, and positive communication with families regarding student progress and learning goals.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with school leadership and staff to align instructional strategies with the school's core philosophy.
Qualifications & Requirements Certification:
Valid Teaching Certificate from any U.S. State (Required).
Core Skills:
Strong background in Reading and Math instruction, small-group facilitation, and assessment management.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and families.
Self-Motivated:
Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage remote planning hours.

High dedication to dependability. We rely on our educators to be punctual, show up consistently for all scheduled shifts, and uphold a high standard of professional commitment to our students and staff.
Schedule & Hours Total Hours:
9-12 hours per week.
On-Site Instruction:
2 days per week, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM (5 hours total).
Remote Planning/Admin:
3-5 hours per week (Flexible work-from-home hours).
Additional Flexible Hours:
