At least 2 years of teaching experience

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Head Literacy Specialist to integrate reading and writing instruction across preschool through kindergarten classrooms Deliver targeted literacy instruction through small groups, intervention sessions, and in-class support (push-in model) Partner with classroom teachers to plan and implement effective literacy lessons, including shared reading, journaling, and guided reading Contribute to the development and success of school-wide literacy initiatives such as the Mystery Reader program, seasonal book fairs, and Literacy Minutes Design and facilitate professional development sessions for educators focused on literacy instruction, assessment strategies, and instructional resources Track and monitor literacy progress in all Primary, Transitional Kindergarten (TK), and Kindergarten classrooms; maintain accurate documentation of interventions and student outcomes Administer Fountas & Pinnell reading assessments and assist with maintaining student literacy folders Conduct regular classroom literacy observations and provide constructive, actionable feedback to educators Review and provide feedback on weekly literacy lesson plans for P-K teachers Communicate and engage with families to offer resources that support literacy development at home Why Join Trinity Montessori Academy?
