Job Description

Purpose of Job:
The Wellness Trainer is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading fitness and wellness programs designed to meet the diverse needs of residents in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) setting. This position provides individualized training, group instruction, and wellness education with a focus on promoting physical health, independence, and overall well-being. The Wellness Trainer ensures that all programs are conducted in a safe, professional, and engaging manner consistent with the mission and values of White Horse Village. Wellness Trainer Conduct individual fitness assessments and create personalized exercise programs based on resident needs, goals, and abilities. Instruct group exercise classes, including strength, balance, flexibility, cardiovascular conditioning, aquatic fitness, and specialty classes tailored to older adults. Provide education on proper exercise techniques, safety precautions, and the effective use of fitness equipment. Monitor and document resident participation, progress, and outcomes, making program modifications as appropriate. Collaborate with Wellness staff to develop and implement wellness initiatives that support physical, social, emotional, and cognitive well-being. Assist in the planning and execution of wellness-related events, programs, and educational sessions. Maintain a safe and orderly environment within all wellness and fitness areas, ensuring equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained. Uphold all departmental policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Compliance Requirements:
Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of duties. Adheres to the Organizations Policies and Procedures regarding the Compliance Program of the organization and is timely in reporting any possible concerns. Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to the position. Adheres to the Organization's Policy and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in Compliance with HIPAA regulations.
