8 th Grade Earth & Space Science Teacher One-Semester Leave Position, Fall 2026 At Flintridge Preparatory School, we believe middle and high school should be a time of healthy, joyful growth. THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a science teaching position (60 percent time, one semester) that reports to the associate head of school, dean of faculty, and science department chair, lasting from approximately August 10 through December 22, 2026. The ideal candidate will delight in being part of a community that appreciates an array of vibrant ideas and viewpoints and wants to nurture and celebrate students through adolescence.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Primary duties and expectations will consist of but are not limited to the following: Teach three Earth & Space Science sections to 8th grade students. Attend occasional faculty, departmental and grade-level meetings as needed. Visibly support the school's mission, vision, values, Honor Code, and strategic priorities.
