UPA is seeking a full-time Biology Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year.

The candidate will have:

1. Knowledge of NGSS Life Science standards, including knowledge of scientific inquiry, cells, DNA, genetics, biotechnology, evolution, ecology, and human body systems. 2. Be able to develop students' scientific literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 3. Implement hands-on laboratory and inquiry-based labs or activities on a weekly basis. 4. Guide students with note-taking, activity and lab implementation, data collection, and analysis. 5. Create an engaging, inclusive, and academically rigorous classroom environment. 6. Use models to help facilitate learning. 7. Knowledge of some health education concepts is helpful.
