Who This Role Is For We are looking for educators who are comfortable teaching middle school and high school math and/or science. Candidates who can teach both math and science are strongly preferred. The ideal candidate can explain complex concepts clearly, adapt instruction based on student level, and provide structured, results-driven academic support. Experience teaching AP-level subjects, accelerated coursework, advanced learners, or test preparation is a strong plus. What You'll Do Lead math and/or science sessions for middle school and high school students Teach subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Environmental Science based on your expertise Prepare students for AP Calculus

Statistics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and/or AP Environmental Science when applicable Support students with school assignments, tests, quizzes, lab reports, and long-term academic development Help students strengthen conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and academic confidence Teach analytical reasoning, scientific thinking, data interpretation, and evidence-based problem solving Differentiate instruction based on each student's grade level, academic background, and learning goals Maintain a structured, focused classroom or small-group learning environment Collaborate with the Summa team on curriculum planning and student progress tracking Communicate clearly and professionally with families Who We're Looking For 2-3+ years of experience teaching, tutoring, or working in math and/or science education preferred Experience teaching middle school and/or high school students Strong understanding of math and/or science instruction at the middle school and high school level Ability to teach AP-level math or science strongly preferred Ability to teach both math and science is a strong plus Experience with AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, or AP Environmental Science preferred Experience supporting accelerated students or students preparing for advanced coursework is a plus Experience with lab reports, scientific writing, academic projects, or research-based learning is a plus Strong classroom and small-group management skills Patient, structured, engaging, and results-oriented teaching style Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly Bilingual English + Mandarin preferred but not required Ability to Commute San Marino, CA 91108
