Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Adjunct Instructor to join our workforce dev team, inspiring students across various disciplines through engaging and innovative teaching. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to higher education by delivering expert instruction in a wide range of subjects. The ideal candidate will bring passion, expertise, and a commitment to fostering student success in both classroom and laboratory settings. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping future professionals by providing high-quality education, supporting curriculum development, and utilizing advanced learning technologies. Duties Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate discussions in subjects such as
ESL, AUTOMOTIVE, COMPUTERS, FINANCIAL
LITERACY, ACCOUNTING, and related fields Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, assessments, and laboratory exercises aligned with current industry standards and academic requirements Incorporate learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or similar platforms to enhance student engagement and track progress Conduct laboratory sessions utilizing microscopy, spectroscopy, dissection techniques, and other scientific tools to provide hands-on learning experiences Guide students through research projects involving data collection, statistical analysis, bioinformatics, machine learning applications, or other advanced methodologies Assess student performance through exams, projects, presentations, and participation; provide constructive feedback to support their growth Collaborate with faculty on curriculum development initiatives to ensure courses remain relevant and rigorous in rapidly evolving fields like AI, quantum engineering, or biochemistry Experience Proven experience teaching at the university level or in adult education settings with a focus on STEM disciplines Strong background in scientific research across areas such as molecular biology, microbiology, ecology restoration, epidemiology, or organic chemistry Demonstrated expertise with learning technologies including LMS platforms like Blackboard or Moodle; familiarity with Linux or MATLAB is a plus Laboratory experience with microscopy, spectroscopy techniques (e.g., NMR or UV-Vis), dissection methods, or histology procedures Knowledge of computer programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or C# for applications in bioinformatics or machine learning projects Familiarity with curriculum development processes and instructional best practices for higher education students Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations while fostering an inclusive learning environment Join us in empowering the next generation of scientists and professionals!
