Adjunct Instructor of Computer Science Reporting Structure:
The Department of Natural Sciences in theCollege of Science, Engineering and Mathematics Division:
Department of Computer Science and Engineering Duties/Responsibilities:
- Successful candidates will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level, establish and sustain an outstanding research program and be involved in proposal and grant writing activities.
- Preferred candidates for the position must hold a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science. Desired areas of interest are artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile applications development.
- Faculty members should expect to be involved in department activities, student advisement, student recruitment, and mentoring students.
Education and Experience:
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related field and extensive related work experience or professional certifications (full Stack, CompTIA, CCNA, etc.). Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution.
- Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching at a liberal arts school. Evidence of successful teaching at the college level is required.
- The candidate must be prepared to affirm and support the Christian and liberal arts mission of Bethune- Cookman University.

Preferred Skills, Experience and Education:
- MS or PhD in computer science. Preference will be given to applicants with areas of specialization that complement existing faculty.
