Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive science curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to diverse learning styles. Deliver engaging lessons in biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences using innovative instructional strategies and educational technology integration. Conduct laboratory experiments, dissections, and research activities to enhance hands-on learning experiences. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation and individualized feedback. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, inclusive learning environment that respects students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design to ensure consistency and high-quality education delivery. Incorporate scientific research methods, laboratory experience, and research laboratory techniques into classroom activities to foster inquiry-based learning. Support students' academic advising, mentoring, and special education needs as required by the school's policies. Utilize learning technology tools for implementing IT-integrated lessons that enhance understanding of complex scientific concepts such as calculus, differential equations, molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, organic chemistry, cell biology, and more. Maintain compliance with educational regulations and standards while continuously improving teaching practices through professional development opportunities. Experience Proven high school teaching experience with a strong background in science education across multiple disciplines including biology, chemistry, physics, or earth sciences. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and implementation tailored to high school students' needs. Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and adapting teaching methods accordingly. Familiarity with educational technology tools for lesson planning and classroom management; experience implementing IT-integrated lessons is highly desirable. Strong classroom management skills coupled with effective communication skills to engage teenagers actively in science learning. Background in laboratory research or research laboratory experience that can be translated into practical classroom activities is preferred. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and experience preparing students for assessments is advantageous.
