Job Summary:
At PPHS, our teachers are educational coaches. Students take an active role in their learning and coaches facilitate, encourage and provide opportunity and support.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide coaching and support for student academic growth and achievement. Engage students in academic conversations that elicit critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. Work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners in a co-taught, interdisciplinary instructional setting Develop meaningful and supportive relationships with students Collect and analyze student data to support instructional decisions Maintain positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community partners Provide appropriate accommodations, modifications, and interventions for English Learners, students with 504 Plans, and Special Education students Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree Current Indiana license required or in process 2+ years working in classrooms preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate and work well in a team Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Work Environment:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for extended periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 20lbs)
