The part-time instructor will be responsible for instructing physics lectures and/or labs, administering and grading associated homework, exams, and lab reports. Part-time instructors are paid $515.00 per college credit hour.Job Duties:
- Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities and prepares learning materials.
- Provides instruction to students in the subject area.
- Prepares lesson plans (as needed) and maintains records and reports on student attainment, attendance/activity progress.
- Utilizes approved online course template and syllabus format.
- Ensures online courses meet standards as set forth by the college.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Physics and/or another qualifying field.
- Teaching and Blackboard experience preferred.
- Credentials must be granted from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
- A passion for teaching undergraduate students and an ability to work with a team effectively is essential to success in this position.
- Experience with online teaching is preferred.
