A Science Teacher teaches in the natural science fields for elementary to secondary school students. Most science courses taught prior to high school are general, with specialization occurring later in high school. Teachers may teach specialized courses in physics, biology or chemistry. Other topics taught include physical science, computer science, astronomy, and geology.

Courses may be offered during the day, afternoon, evening or weekends in a variety of formats (in-person, hybrid, online). Applications will be accepted for those who can teach lecture and/or laboratory in the following area(s) or discipline(s): Anatomy and Physiology (one and two-semester sequences, and non-majors Human Biology) Biology (majors and non-majors, including a survey of disease, biotechnology & society, forensics or other related courses) Chemistry (Introductory and first year majors) Earth and Space Science (including environmental studies, and astronomy) Engineering Sciences General Physical Science Mathematics (quantitative reasoning, statistical reasoning, applied algebra, pre-calculus or above) Microbiology Nutrition & Environmental/Public Health General Physics (algebra or calculus based) Instructors will work with the full-time faculty, program coordinator and/or Division Director to deliver credit course content and assessments required for outcome learning assessments for division courses. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must have a Master's degree in the area or discipline of interest (or Master's degree in Education/Teaching with at least 12 graduate credits in a specific STEM related discipline: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, etc.). Two Years of relevant teaching experience is required. Applicants with only a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or who are current graduate students in relevant areas may be considered for laboratory instruction on a case by case basis.
