At the appropriate step on the pay scale We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Science Teacher to join the Lamphere Family. In this educational setting with a diverse student population, the successful candidate will inspire and educate students in a positive and engaging learning environment while developing and delivering a curriculum aligned with state and national standards. This role fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills through active collaboration with colleagues and ongoing professional development.Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Science (DX) or (DI) endorsement for grades 6-12 Additional certification in any of the following areas- Language Arts (BX or BA); Social Studies (RX or CX); or Mathematics (EX), preferred Ability to interact positively with, and motivate, students Ability to use data to plan and adjust instruction Excellent classroom management skills Ability to work with department colleagues to improve student outcomes Willingness to accept responsibility for student learning and progress Ability to withstand the strain of teaching Regular and punctual attendance is essential to the position Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable This position is classified as Exempt Employment is contingent upon disclosure in accordance with PA-189.
