Job Description

Missouri Military Academy is seeking a full-time Computer Science Instructor for the 2026-2027 Academic year. The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher with a degree in Computer Science and must have previous teaching experience in the subject area. Applicants must have a current understanding of best practice and pedagogy in teaching Computer Science to cadets at the middle and high school levels. A graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Persons with expertise in multiple academic areas and/or coaching experience are highly desirable. A commitment to the academic and social/emotional growth of students is essential. Faculty members serve in a wide capacity across the campus including participating in student life activities, as well as academic advisors. Being able to work collaboratively with fellow faculty members and residential staff is critical for this position. Candidates should be realistic and excited about the challenges and rewards of teaching and working in an academically challenging college preparatory school environment. Missouri Military Academy offers a dynamic educational experience for boys in grades 7-12 in a military boarding school environment. Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field; Master's or Ph.D. preferred .
Experience:
Prior teaching experience preferred; relevant industry experience may be considered.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to engage and motivate students effectively. Proficiency in using technology and learning management systems for course delivery. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Commitment to student success and lifelong learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in curriculum development and instructional design. Certifications or additional qualifications relevant to the subject area. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering a positive learning environment, and guiding cadets toward academic and professional success. This role requires expertise in the subject area, strong communication skills, and a commitment to cadet development.
