Computer Science Instructor
LOCATION

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT
Full time, exempt, 9-month contract, benefitted position. After a preliminary evaluation period, this position may become a tenure-track position.

JOB SUMMARY
The Computer Science Instructor is responsible for teaching Computer Science (CSCI) courses and for developing CSCI course offerings at Williston State College (WSC). Successful applicant must demonstrate and maintain competence in CSCI throughout employment at the college; teach a course load of an average of 15 credits each semester of CSCI courses; teaching courses during the summer semester is optional for all faculty; regularly evaluate student progress toward course objectives; serve as academic advisor for CSCI students within the college advisement system; and serve on college, divisional and program committees as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Programming, Mathematics or a Master's degree in another discipline and 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Programming, or Mathematics. Computer software skills and Internet familiarity. Preferred qualifications Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level. Well demonstrated public speaking and communication skills. Industry experience with multiple programing languages. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook email and Calendar.
SALARY:
$51,894+, salary based on WSC Faculty Salary Matrix.

WSC provides courses for both academic transfer students and career and technical education students.
