Job Description

Sussex County Community College seeks adjunct/part-time lecture and lab instructors for courses in general biology for majors and nonmajors. This is a pooled position; qualified applicants will be contacted as positions become available. Laboratory courses are offered on campus and may be scheduled days or evenings. Responsibilities of adjunct lecture and laboratory instructors include teaching assigned courses using a departmentally established course outline and assessing course learning outcomes. Lecture and lab instructors are expected to collaborate with one another to provide a vibrant, cohesive learning experience for a diverse student population.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in appropriate discipline required. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills needed. Prior college/university teaching experience preferred. The Learning Management System (LMS) that we use for our online, remote teaching and classroom support is Canvas. Prior knowledge of Canvas or similar learning platform is preferred. Adjunct pay is based on $910 per credit hour. Sussex County Community College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
