QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Valid N.Y.S. teaching certificates in Chemistry 7-12 and Physics 7-12 (additional certifications in science or math preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED

Experience, knowledge and background related to N.Y.S. learning standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and multiple assessments including formative and benchmark assessments in unit designs. Experience in teaching Advanced Placement Chemistry would be helpful. Desire and knowledge to balance students' social/emotional and academic/intellectual needs. Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills with Desire and ability to work collaboratively with an academic team including an interdisciplinary approach to lesson design.
