Required Application Type Teacher / Admin Salary/Pay Scale $45,000-54,700 Job Description The Le Roy Central School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE secondary science teacher (Grades 7-12) for a probationary appointment beginning in September 2026. The position will be for Biology class among many other opportunities in extracurriculars. We are seeking an individual to join our top-notch Science department which is highlighted by our strong annual Regents and AP results. The department also boasts many high-level learning opportunities through AP Chemistry and AP Biology. The Le Roy Jr./Sr. High School has 550+ students in grades 7-12, 70+ staff members, and has a proud tradition of academic excellence and maintains high behavioral standards. We have a very diverse and vast course catalog that allows our students to challenge themselves and expand their horizons. Job Qualifications The successful candidate will: Prepare and teach Biology in accordance with NYS curriculum and standards Prepare and instruct literacy rich science courses Prepare and instruct academic support for science students Stay current in research-based instructional practices and pedagogy, NYS standards, assessment, curriculum, and Response to Intervention practices Maintain and enhance collaboration with team members and department members Utilize technology to maximize instruction and learning Promote social emotional learning and restorative practices Demonstrate a desire to advise extracurricular activities and/or serve as a coach for an athletic team Application Procedure Le Roy Central School District requires the following at time of application: Completed online application Resume Cover letter Copies of certification or verification from the TEACH website College transcripts At least three recent professional letters of recommendation Method - All required information should be filed electronically through the online web recruitment system.
